Alfie is our homebred so we can vouch for his talent, temperament and behaviour since birth. Rising 7 years old Alfie would be an ideal hacking/light allrounder. Backed correctly, he has performed well in early unaffiliated dressage, jumping and hunter trials Alfie is a lovely ride. In 2016 he had a collateral ligament desmitis which was treated correctly and he was brought back into work. He is a very gentle boy and would make someone a great fun happy hacking horse. Snaffle mouth and will hack alone.

  • Most suitable home and loanee/owner/sharer

Alfie is happy in company or alone. He will perform best with a confident rider and pal. He is a great boy who would do anything for our daughter which makes us feel he will suit someone who will bond with him. He is still young and has lived with us most of his life. Nothing phases him - he has had two periods on training yards and settled very quick. He can be schooled, hack and jump a course of 90 cm but we would just caution that he might need a day or two's rest after a cross country course.

Happy to hack out alone or in company

Details of any individual behavioural traits which may influence the type of person best suited to take on the horse

Straightforward ride for a quiet confident rider, snaffle mouth - rising 7 and only done a few unaffiliated competitions, Alfie has always been at home or two small yards so he is still quite young. He was backed and trained correctly and ridden by two quiet confident young riders, Alfie will give a good rider a lot of pleasure. His dad was a 3 star eventer so he is a lovely stamp and very willing to please.

Not to our knowledge however due to his 2016 injury we would suggest heavy competition work would not be sustainable.
