I have had Anna since I was a teenager and am loaning her out while I study for a year in a new city. Anna is a very sweet mare, she has excellent manners and loves to be brushed. She is calm when ridden (although has the occasional spooky day where she is head strong) and has had everyone from grannies to little brothers riding her. I've had several sharers help out over recent years and they all love her! Anna is only suitable for light hacking due to arthritis. She has no vices.

Relevant health or lameness issues

Anna has arthritis which was diagnosed in December 2018, as she was lame in her right fore and this was investigated. She is now sound to be ridden lightly and the arthritis is managed with one bute/day in her feed. Anna has two extra teeth at the back of her lower jaw so requires a dental exam every 4 months to keep these trimmed and prevent mouth ulcers.

Veterinary examinations or treatment given in the past 12 months

Xrays were taken of Anna's right knee and hooves to investigate lameness in December 2018, no abnormalities were detected. Anna was tested for EMS and Cushings in the summer of 2018 and both tests were clear.

Pure Arabian Sire X Thoroughbred and she has 1/8 Irish Sports Horse. V similar to Anglo Arab: "...Refinement, bone and endurance of the Arabian, and the speed and scope of the Thoroughbred though they should not look entirely like either a Thoroughbred or an Arabian. They have a long neck, prominent withers, a short and strong body (more sturdy than the Thoroughbred), and a deep chest. They have fine heads, although not overly dished in profile, and have strong bone." Her breeding means she should her very suited to dressage and possibly endurance riding. Lovely, bold floating strides.
