Relevant health or lameness issues

He has had no health issues until this year when we identified 2/10 lameness on his off-side hind. Tests showed that it was in the proximal cannon bone region. Suspected suspensory ligament issue but tests inconclusive. It does not bother him, just a slight toe drag in trot. This may improve with more prolonged time off.

Veterinary examinations or treatment given in the past 12 months

2/10 lameness off-side hind in trot. He could probably go barefoot but I have not yet done this with him.

Showjumping. Prior to lameness he competed very well in affiliated dressage to elementary level. However, the ridden future of this horse is uncertain so he is going as a companion only home.

He does well living just off grass. He has been stabled at night in winter during the worst months, but more for my ease.
