Please describe your horses behaviour in traffic

Pretty Bombproof, has been ridden consistently on busy roads since backing. Not really scared of anything but occasionally reactive to stimulating circumstances hence the need for a rider that is calm and decisive and then he’s responsive to being corrected.

Please describe your horses behaviour when hacking out alone and in company

Forward going fun ride, loves exploring! However, has been known to buck and squeal in excitement on a rather random basis. Buck is easy to sit for a good balanced rider and is only occasional. Despite size fantastic forward going walk, keeps up easily. Can be a little wary of other horses crowding him (reacts with the squeal and buck) but he’s happy hacking alone or as lead horse in groups. Comfortable paces, light in hand and moves laterally off leg. Goes in water, jumps ditches.

Details of any individual behavioural traits which may influence the type of person best suited to take on the horse

Intelligent and bold, can be pushy but great fun character that has us in stitches with his antics. Ties up, handles well groom, feet, rug, wormers, all that in fact you could dress him in plastic bags and he wouldn’t care! Rushes and jigs a bit turning out/fetch in. Someone with time to teach him tasks/Liberty work/obstacle courses etc basically harness his brain could achieve loads quite fast.
