Lord is a very special horse to me, he has taught me a lot in the 4 years of owning him. He is always willing to learn new things and he always try his hardest for the rider. He can give you nice quiet rides, or really fast fun rides. He is a very fun horse and he is currently hunting every season and can a first timer out and keep them safe and get them hooked on hunting. Also we go out and compete local/unaffiliated dressage. Lord can also just be a happy hacker.

  • Most suitable home and loanee/owner/sharer

Lord has done a lot of hunting and hunter trials and dressage competitions. He is not a big fan of showjumping so if you are looking for a showjumping horse unfortunately he is not the one. I am now still taking him out and about and I am more than happy to let you compete him. Lord would suit a sharer who is a bit more experienced than a novice due to his slight grumpiness so needs to be a confident handler on the ground. He is no way dangerous though.

Please describe your horses behaviour in traffic

Excellent

Please describe your horses behaviour when hacking out alone and in company

He is very calm and laid back out hacking on his own and the same in company although sometimes can get a bit excited because he thinks he is out hunting but its nothing dangerous! He can have the occasional spook but its nothing bad he just snorts at it then will carry on calmly.

Details of any individual behavioural traits which may influence the type of person best suited to take on the horse

He is grumpy with being brushed under his tummy and grumpy in a stable but he lives out which suits him perfectly. He is not dangerous at all just pulls faces and there are ways to manage these grumpy faces. So he needs a good handler on the ground.
