Phoebe is very loving nature and always says hello when i go out to the yard. My farrier trims her feet without her even being tied up She currently lives with my other horse who is a gelding and she is the matriarch.. She does get stressed if living with another horse and that horse leaves. Typical of her breed, can be quick and likes to snort at things. She takes confidence from a calm confident person. Not for a novice. Has lived out without a rug for the last 8 years in a field with a big dutch barn

Relevant health or lameness issues

No health issues ever in the 18 years I have had her. She had sarcoids as a youngster and there were removed before I bought her and have never returned. Teeth done regularly. Feet trimmed as necessary but good to shoeif you wanted to put shoes on. Vaccinated.

Veterinary examinations or treatment given in the past 12 months

Annual check up and vaccination - all fine. Teeth rasped.

Please describe your horses behaviour in traffic

Good in traffic

Please describe your horses behaviour when hacking out alone and in company

Can be a bit spooky. Used to be ridden both on her own and in company regularly without any issues. Needs an experienced rider as is typical of her breeding and can be quick. Has been scared around sheep, cows and pigs before, but then again I got her used to all these things.

Details of any individual behavioural traits which may influence the type of person best suited to take on the horse

Loving easy to do mare if you're experienced as she is a typical Hanoverian / TB. Separation anxiety. Better in American barn / internal stable environment than loose boxes as likes to see other horses.

Details of the activities that the horse must not participate in due to previous injury

No

Details of any problems when being ridden

Generally fine with a confident rider. Will sometimes leap in the air if excited or scared and whip around to get away from something.

Yes

Need to be stabled at night?
