Phoenix was rescued from becoming meat as a yearling, and was completely feral - It took us over a week to get a headcollar on her, and she was very underweight. That little youngster has grown into a beautiful confident young horse, we named her Phoenix because we hoped she would rise from the ashes, and she has! I'd love for her to go to a permanent, forever loving home who have time to invest in her education and who would update me every so often if possible.

  • Most suitable home and loanee/owner/sharer

A home for Phoenix would need to be patient and loving, the same needs as any youngster. She needs a family who understand her need to develop a good trusting bond due to her past. She can be a companion or could be backed when the time is right and she is mature enough in summer. She needs a firm but loving home who understands youngsters and that welshes especially can have an attitude at times but are very intelligent, willing to learn and want to please. She has a lot of love to give.

She can be a typical young Welsh, but is very intelligent and will be very trainable with the right person. She is very loving and wants to please, but obviously has her moments being a typical youngster. I would love Phoenix to go to a forever, patient loving home where she gets the attention she deserves and can start her education. From when I got her, she has come so far so is definitely willing to learn and trainable.
