Tara needs a gentle calm owner who is able to get to know and respect why she is the way she is. No one can shout her now or she would I believe stand her ground after all she has been through. Tara is very intelligent and you will need to earn her love and trust. You will need to be a capable and relaxed rider and patient as she is very green. I have taught her to walk trot and canter and not just race now but sadly I'm older now and she deserves a home where she will be used.she would have a lovely foal f

Please describe your horses behaviour in traffic

I don't know as we have open land to ride on. I have ridden down country roads with others and she appeared fine.

Please describe your horses behaviour when hacking out alone and in company

Tara can be fizzy and when scared she can muck about and jump about. If really worked up she settles if you keep her going forward in trott. Tara can put a couple of bucks in but I have always found them easy to sit to and she always just does two. If you come off she will run for home even in company which you need to be aware of. As I say she is green so think of her as a baby.

Details of any individual behavioural traits which may influence the type of person best suited to take on the horse

Tara can be anxious and will take time to settle in to a new home. She can suffer from separation anxiety if not worked and in a routine then she settles so you will need to be able to give her the commitment. Tara is a typical thoroughbred one day she walks the next day she will jog but she is such fun and if you like TB she is wonderful.

Details of the activities that the horse must not participate in due to previous injury

Not applicable. She was born with a slightly curved front foot but she did hurdle when a yearling.
