Stunning little pony full of personality and character. After a sad start in life Tilly has come a very long way in her 6 years with me. She couldn't stand human contact when she arrived however had never been nasty, bitten or kicked. She has been handled by a quiet 7 year old girl who is experienced with horses but I would not say she is suitable as a kids pony (just yet!) She would be a lovely little show pony if someone could dedicate the time she needs.

  • Most suitable home and loanee/owner/sharer

Needs an experienced and confident home she can be very nervous of new people and will take a while to get to know her new family. She is sweet natured and not at all nasty but needs time and routine to familiarise herself with new surroundings and people. She is currently on a quiet yard and I feel this does not help get her used to things so perhaps a busier yard with more interaction would be good for her but she is settled in a quiet herd environment currently.

Please describe your horses behaviour in traffic

Tilly is very confident and brave out in traffic - we regularly walk her out past the cold storage unit so she has seen articulated lorries, farm machinery, cars, motorbikes etc.

Please describe your horses behaviour when hacking out alone and in company

Not currently backed or ridden (only been sat on) - I can catch her, rug her, allow a farrier and vet to treat her, travel her in a box of trailer, stable or leave out, pick all four feet and groom her, lunge her, walk her in traffic, tack her up (she's very headshy so I don't often bridle her but as you can see in the picture I have previously and have also taken her in hand showing) accepts a saddle and stirrups well.

Details of any individual behavioural traits which may influence the type of person best suited to take on the horse

Tilly can be very nervy - she will swing into you if she feels threatened when being groomed and flinch away if you make quick movements however once she gets to know you she is fine.
