Pixie has been with me since she was 6 months old and has always been a friendly pony who has grown up with children, horses, dogs and chickens. She is a calm pony which made her an ideal candidate to be a mental health therapy pony. She was a therapy pony on loan for three years and came back when the loaners health changed.
Pixie enjoys going for walks and this can be done safely on quiet country lanes. She has met farm machinery, bikes, and a variety of cars, vans and 4x4's on our walks. She will stand quietly to allow vehicles to pass and continue walking once they have passed Not yet fully backed/trained for riding or driving; she has worn a bridle with a bit, has been long lined and had a saddle pad and girth on her back. She was not fully trained before she went to a loan home, where she was a mental health therapy pony.
No health or lameness issues to report
One that can continue her training to be ridden or to harness. She is a strong sturdy girl who could be ridden by a small adult, kids or alternatively be trained to pull a small carriage. Any training would have to be kind all her handling has been using natural horsemanship methods. Pixie is a quick learner and enjoys spending time with her people.
