Most suitable home and loanee/owner/sharer
Paddy will only go to a kind, loving home where I felt I could 100% guarantee he would be very well cared for and returned to me if circumstances were to change. He doesn’t necessarily require a a stable although some form of field shelter would be needed. He must only go to a home where he can be in the same field with another horse. As long as there’s hay for him in winter and a good winter turnout rug, he’s quite happy. He will also require a fly sheet in summer.

Relevant health or lameness issues
Paddy has cataracts in both eyes. His vision is estimated to be around 40% but he manages quite happily and this doesn’t pose any issue or concerns. He also had a locking stifle but this doesn’t affect him in the field, only when walking up hill.
Veterinary examinations or treatment given in the past 12 months
Paddy had an allergic reaction to something the vet thought was likely to be a seed dropped froM a bird or in bird poo. This has only happened once in four years and was considered bad luck rather than anything that’s likely to crop up again.

Paddy has no vices or behavioural issues. He may need sedation to have his teeth filed as this frightens him.
Details of the activities that the horse must not participate in due to previous injury
Paddy is sadly no longer in work. He does, however, enjoy join-up and would love to get out once in a while for an in-hand stroll.
Explanation whether this horse is simply a good doer or whether he is prone to laminitis
Good doer. As he’s a TB weight gain has never been a concern. He may need a special weight-gain mix for his winter feed though, as he’s more likely to drop weight.
